BAROMETER
Invented in 1844 by French scientist Lucien Vidi , the aneroid barometer uses a small, flexible metal box called an aneroid cell (capsule), which is made from an alloy of the beryllium and copper. Small changes in external air pressure cause the cell to expand or to contract
Barometers and pressure altimeters (the most basic and common type of altimeter) are essentially the same instrument, but used for the different purposes.
Specifications:
- Instrument similar to Cat No. 1140100 in construction.
- But completely enclosed in a transparent plastic case with movements clearly visible for the demonstration of its working.
- With resettable index pointer.
