Separating Funnel Specifications:
- These Funnel are made of Polypropylene, giving excellent contact clarity and strength.
- The pear shaped, autoclavable separating funnel has a leakproof threaded screw cap.
- The Polypropylene stopcock, fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug, is push fitted to the stem of the seperatory funnel.
- Separating Funnels are available in 100,250 & 500 ML.
- Typical sizes are between 30 m L and 3 L. In industrial chemistry they can be much bigger and for much larger volumes centrifuges are used.
- The sloping sides are designed to facilitate the identification of the layers.

This apparatus is made of polyethylene has three main portions. The top portions is fitted with a thistle funnel and a bulb structure through which dilute acid can be poured which reacts with a metal sulfide in the base of the Apparatus. HS gas then evolved collects in the middle dome from where it can be released through a leak proof stopcock fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug. The base is provided with a residual outlet fitted with a cap for easy cleaning. In Size : 250,500 & 1000 mm
