BAROMETER

Invented in 1844 by French scientist Lucien Vidi , the aneroid barometer uses a small, flexible metal box called an aneroid cell (capsule), which is made from an alloy of the beryllium and copper. Small changes in external air pressure cause the cell to expand or to contract

Barometers and pressure altimeters (the most basic and common type of altimeter) are essentially the same instrument, but used for the different purposes.

Specifications:

• Barometers having sensitive and accurate movement with 100 mm circular dial graduated 28 to 31 inch of mercury and 960 to 1060 × 1 h Pa.
• The scale designed for maximum clarity and ease of reading.
• Protected by transparent cover in a plated bezel. Includes resettable index pointer and provision for wall mounting.
