BIL COIL
BIL COIL:
This is an electrical conductor such as a wire in the shape of a coil, spiral or helix. Electromagnetic coils are used in electrical engineering, in applications where electric currents interact with magnetic fields, in devices such as electric motors, generators, inductors, electromagnets, transformers, and sensor coils.
Specifications:
- A metallic rod fitted with rectangular printed circuit board coil of 5 or 10 turns to hang it in between the poles of permanent magnets placed on the top pan of a digital balance.
- When the current is passed through the coil via. 4 mm sockets a force is exerted on the magnet due to the magnetic effect of the current.
- Quantitative measurement can be taken to investigate the formula F=BIL.
- Maximum current rating for the coil is 3 A DC
