DEFLECTION MAGNETOMETER:

This is an instrument that measures magnetism—either the magnetization of a magnetic material like a ferromagnet, or the direction, strength, or relative change of a magnetic field at a particular location. A compass is a simple type of a magnetometer, one that measures the direction of an ambient magnetic field.

Specifications:

• For studying the earth’s magnetic field.
• Comprises a compass box as in Cat No. 1070620/2.
• Mounted at the center of a long base board with a 0-50 cm scale on the either side of the compass box.
• The Magnetometer is mounted on Wooden Base.
