GALVANOMETER

This is an electro mechanical instrument used for detecting and indicating electric current. A galvanometers works as an actuator, by producing a rotary deflection (of a “pointer”), in response to electric current flowing through a coil in a constant magnetic field.

Specifications:

• An analogue MR-100 meter of range 0-20-100µA, which can either, be used as a current meter or voltmeter on introducing shunts or multiplier with this meter respectively.
• Internal coil resistance of the meter is 1 K?.
• For better viewing angle meter is fixed inside a tapered plastic molded case.
• Connections are made via. 4 mm safety terminals.
