RAIN GAUGE:

This is an instrument used by meteorologists and hydrologists to gather and measure the amount of liquid precipitation over a set period of time. Types of rain gauges include graduated cylinders, weighing gauges, tipping bucket gauges, and a simple buried pit collectors. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages for collecting rain data.

Specifications:

• It consists of a sheet metal funnel about 250 × 125 mm (overall length × diameter).
• with an inner receiving cylinder 200 × 70 mm (height × diameter), a cylindrical outer body 300 × 125 mm (height × diameter).and a measuring jar.
• With glass measuring cylinder graduated 0 to 10 mm × 0.1 mm (100 divisions).
