RING MAGNET:

A thin flat circular magnet where the thickness does not exceed the diameter and there is a hole through the center. Ring magnets are commonly used when a mechanical attachment method is needed to secure the magnet. This is an object made from a material that is magnetized and creates its own persistent magnetic field.
