SET OF SPECIFIC HEAT CYLINDERS:

It is a surface consisting of all the points on all the lines which are parallel to a given line and which pass through a fixed plane curve in a plane not parallel to the given line. From a kinematics point of view, given a plane curve, called the directrix, a cylindrical surface is that surface traced out by a line, called the generatrix, not in the plane of the directrix, moving parallel to itself and always passing through the directrix. Any particular position of the generatrix is an element of the cylindrical surface.

Specifications:

• Comprising six cylinders of diameter about 16 mm, with weight of each cylinder adjusted to 100 g.
• Includes one cylinder each of copper, lead, brass, zinc, iron and aluminum.
• Cylinders vary in length from 5 cm to 19 cm to get the same mass and are drilled across cross-section near one end for suspension.
• Metal cylinders rest in the cylindrical recesses drilled in a wooden block.
• Metal identification stamped on each cylinder.
